Liz’s paintings are inspired by emotional responses to places she has visited and the spiritual sense of the power of God in the landscape. She paints mainly in oils and pastels, inviting the imagination to roam and wander through the real and the imagined. She uses layers to build the essence of fragmented scenery. Light, colour and texture play a central role in Liz’s work to capture the spirit and energy of he chosen locations.

Liz is part of a cooperative venture called ShedArt, which presents the work of a group of modern artists who paint and sculpt together in a studio at Newdigate in Surrey. Their work is vibrant and eclectic.
